Telling Secrets

My daughter is going to be two next month.

We were working on the concept of telling "secrets" - whispering in someone's ear. When I told her I was going to tell her a secret - told her one.

I then told her, to tell me a secret. :)
She leaned forward, put her face to my ear and [very cutely] said

"secret"

we have not eaten at the Cheesecake Factory since...

I had gotten a call from some college friends who wanted to get together for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Being a stay-at-home mom I was thrilled to get an invitation for a meal out. Unfortuntely the hubby was out of town on business and had no one else to watch my kids. So, I packed up the 2 kid took them with me. Dinner was pretty good, the kids behaved themselves as well as a 1 and 3 year old can. Toward the end my son kept telling me he had to pee, but I was caught up in conversation and decided he could wait a few more minutes. I was in the middle of telling a story when I heard a gasp. I looked over to find my 3 year old son had whipped it out and was peeing IN the vent next to our booth.

Needless to say we have not eaten at the Cheesecake Factory since.

My hoo ha is MAGIC!

This morning - I decided Id take advantage of the fact that Torrae doesnt watch much television...so when she does, shes immobile and engrossed for 20 minutes while she watches a show - so I could take a shower...

I turned on Blues clues and she had been drinking some milk in a sippy cup and it was almost gone so I grabbed it and filled it back up before I headed upstairs and she was totally oblivious to me taking it and replacing it between her legs while she sat hypnotized by the noise box...

Im in the shower for about 2 minutes and Torrae comes running up the stairs shouting "MOMMA!! MOMMA!!" and of course I am freaking out and thinking something happened and when she bursts into the bathroom with a huggggggggggge smile on her face and wide eyes and exclaims:

"MOM!! My hoo ha is MAGIC!! My hoo ha made MILK FOR ME!!!"

Shes gonna tell everyone...I just know it!
(she doesnt believe me that I refilled her cup...its DEFINATELY her magical hoo ha of wonder and awe...) Oh my...

So Sorry.

I have let this thing go! :( Noooooooooo. I know, right!?

I've just been employed with the County in my hometown and now work 8-5, with NO internet access at home. crazy.. right?

SO I'm still posting stories, as I get them... just not actively searching for them like I was before.

Feel free to abandon me, or un-follow me, but I will be back.

oh don't you worry! We'll be back!

What would you be?

Lately Amiya has been on a kick where she is constantly asking us, if
we were something what would we be. Here is a snippet of our
conversation tonight while she was getting ready for bed.

Amiya: If you were an animal what would you be?

Me: I would probably be a giraffe, what about you?

Amiya: I would be a hippo; do you want to know why?

Me: Sure why?

Amiya: I would be big and fat and no one would mess with me and I
could lay around in a pond and do nothing all day.

Me: That sounds like a good idea.

Amiya: Yep! If you were a car what would you be?

Me: Probably a BMW.

Amiya: Whats that?

Me: An expensive car.

Amiya: Oh one that has TVs that come down from the ceiling and a bar
thingy where you can make grown up drinks?

Me: Well I don’t know about that, but I would be a convertible

Amiya: Yeah that would be good having the sun in your hair, you know
what I would be?

Me: What would you be?

Amiya: I would be a minivan.

Me: A minivan, why?

Amiya: Mom, haven’t you seen the new one on TV where the seats spin
around and there’s a table that folds up, if you get hungry you can
just stop your car turn around and eat your dinner there or play board
games like Sorry, now that is a fancy car!!!

Yep Sure is!!!
