Father

So we haven't taken my youngest, R, (he's five) to Church in a really long time. I know we should, and I'm not even going to begin to explain the bajillion reasons I can come up with as to WHY we haven't gone.

-Mass had ended, we were going in peace and as usual, Father was standing at the end of the hall bidding everyone farewell for the week. As we were approaching, I told my son, "Now make sure to smile at Father and give him a handshake". My son, yes MY son, turns to me and yells, in a very loud and angry tone- "THAT'S NOT MY FATHER!!!, MOM! THAT'S NOT MY FATHER!"

We WILL be going to Church from now on. :)

  1. So funny! My kids (4,3 and 1) have decided now is the time to start embarrassing me, except they all gang up on me!! It's not funny at the time, but it always is later. I just keep reminding myself that someday there will be paybacks (although I bet that's what my mom is thinking now!). =)
